Calli’s favorite thing about Madison is the political atmosphere at the state’s capital. This semester she interned at Congressman Mark Pocan’s district office and gained invaluable work experience.
Hibah Ansari is a senior majoring in Reporting in the School of Journalism. She is the managing editor for the Disparity Dialogue Team. Hibah’s favorite thing about Madison is the abundance of opportunities for students to learn outside the classroom. Living and studying as a student reporter in Madison has allowed her to learn more about the state government, community organization and local and global social issues that she may not have learned in class.

She is the editor of the Promotions Team on the Disparity Dialogue Team. Mckenzie’s favorite thing about Madison is its natural beauty. Nestled between the two lakes, Madison is never lacking breathtaking sights, and there is beauty to be found on the isthmus during every season.
Ashley Mackens is a senior majoring in Reporting and Strategic Communication within the School of Journalism. She is the editor of the Promotions Team on the Disparity Dialogue Team. Ashley’s favorite thing about Madison is the music scene. From Concerts on the Square, to shows at the Majestic Theatre, the music in Madison never disappoints.
Shiloah Coley is a junior majoring in Reporting in the School of Journalism with two certificates in Studio Art and African American Studies. She is the Neighborhood Team leader within the Disparity Dialogue Team. Shiloah’s favorite thing about Madison is the opportunity that she’s had to connect with black and brown communities on campus through her work in the Multicultural Student Center and role as the Editor-in-Chief of the Black Voice.
Sasha VanAllen is a junior, double majoring in Reporting and Communication Arts. She is a reporter for the Neighborhood Team. Sasha’s favorite thing about Madison is how breathtaking downtown Madison looks. Having the capital as the central point of downtown with restaurants and stores surrounding it is very pleasing to her.

Justine’s favorite part about Madison is the unmatched amount of energy in the city on Badger game days.
